Vaper Basics is a locally owned and operated business.  I live here in Kyle, shop here in the Kyle/Buda area as much as possible, and have seen many of our customers faces in the grocery store, or other businesses and places in the community.  I struggled with sticking with vaping because I had to drive so far to resupply.  I understand the urges of having a cigarette, and the importance of having a vaping system that is satisfying and is as easy to maintain as possible.  My personal experience with e-liquids has been geared toward quitting smoking and I started out with tobacco flavors with the logic being that as long as I can fool myself with the tobacco flavor, I will be okay. Some people have made up their mind to quit smoking and start out with anything BUT tobacco flavors.  I still have one tank with a tobacco flavor for when the urge hits, but the urges are happening less and less often.

UPDATE - I have been tobacco/cigarette free since March of 2014 now.  I rarely do tobacco flavors anymore except for sampling purposes.  I find now that they remind me of smoking too much, and I have gotten to the point that I can barely stand to be around cigarette smoke at all.  

Our original business plan included an e-juice bar where we would custom make e-liquids according to each customer's wishes, but the uncertainty of pending FDA regulation caused us to rethink  our opening strategy. If regulation will allow it, we will reconsider adding a bar in the future using the regulations the FDA lays out, but for now we will only offer the pre-bottled e-liquids and we can show you how to mix different nic levels to achieve your nicotine digression if that is what you need. 

During the development of Vaper Basics and the motto of Keeping Vaping Simple, we also planned a seperate division, called Blowing Vapor - More Than the Basics, that was to be geared toward what we used to call Hobbyists, Technicians, and Hard Core Vapers. The introduction of main-stream subtanks has blurred the lines between the classes so much, that Blowing Vapor was put on hold.  We do still keep the dripping section at the far end of the shop, so as to not confuse newer people, and I even call that counter the Blowing Vapor Counter, but we have made no moves to develop a seperate site and system within the shop to cater more to that division.  It has not been scrapped yet though.  

Now that you know a bit more about us and that we want to grow with our community, you may wonder why we chose to start with the basics.  the foremost reason is that all things start with the basics, and I don't believe we could have a truly successful business if we started out selling only mod devices and equipment that only the hobbyists and technicians understand.  That would deter individuals who are just beginning to consider taking up vaping.  We didn't have a crystal ball that told us how many advanced vapers lived in the area, or how many people already vape for that matter, so we thought it logical to assume that we would be converting individuals into vapers and that they would develop into more advanced equipment along the way as we would grow with them. But, the one thing all vapers have in common is that they all use e-liquid in one way or another.

The E-Liquids we carry, are no joke.  The manufacturers we use have a customer base in the hundreds of thousands and maybe more, and all but the newest flavors they offer have stood the test time and the customer's right to spend their money where they choose.  Not everyone likes the same flavors and what one person loves, another will hate, but if you can test flavors without looking at the names and forming opinions of what they will taste like before you even try them, you will likely find that there are no bad flavors, just flavors that you can enjoy, or not, and even flavors you enjoy sometimes can not be vaped all day.  Our selection of juices are all High Quality, use Tested and Certified ingredients, and are created in certified facilities that are ahead of FDA regulations and are designed with the sole purpose of making safe, quality e-liquids.  If the looming FDA regulations hit the industry harder than expected, we will be able to weather that storm.

I have used counter made e-liquids from dozens of shops, and I have not had an issue with anything other than perhaps getting a stronger dose of nicotine than I ordered.  Most of the shops I visited were pretty good at measuring their ingredients and the results were usually very similar to the last one I purchased.  Cleanliness seemed to be in good order and everyone wore gloves to protect themselves and to help prevent spreading germs and such, but...the fact is, we never know for sure.  One of the unfortunate aspects of this new industry is that not every business has done the right thing, and even the good businesses make mistakes, and we ingest these e-liquids.  Are you certain your shop is doing the right thing?
